[edit] Introduction
Transaction forms (TAs) are forms used for the sale of business or residential properties. They have been developed by the Law Society and are available through third party suppliers. The purpose of TA6 is to provide the prospective buyer with details about the property. It is the responsibility of the seller to complete this form.

TA6 forms are divided into different sections, including:
- Boundaries
- Disputes and complaints
- Notices and proposals
- Alterations, planning and building control
- Guarantees and warranties
- Insurance
- Environmental matters
- Rights and informal arrangements
- Parking
- Other charges
- Occupiers
- Services
- Connection to utilities and services
- Transaction information
Much of the information can be communicated by the seller by answering yes or no to certain questions, but some areas may require greater detail. TA6 explanatory notes provide sellers with an overview of what is being requested and explain the legal concepts that some of the questions deal with.
[edit] TA6 Part 1
On 15 October 2021, the Law Society announced it was introducing a beta version of TA6 Part 1, which is intended to provide more information to potential buyers at an earlier stage of the transaction process. It can also be used to pre-populate answers to existing TA6 forms (which will be known as TA6 Part 2 once TA6 Part 1 is finalised).
TA6 Part 1 will be a digital form. It will be free to use through the Law Society’s network of licensed providers.
